Testimonials

  • “I’m sitting here in our new motor coach admiring the quality of your workmanship. Taking the time to do a custom built coach was well worth the time. We just wanted to say “thank you” to you and your team for all your hard work and effort to complete this project. Everyone was very polite, courteous, and was very conscientious of the work they were doing.

We had owned a number of coaches trying to find that right one. We had 3 Monaco’s, all were nice, Country Coach Prevost that was very nice, but they just didn’t satisfy all of our needs. We needed a hauler. My husband begin researching different one’s with garages probably for 2 years.

We were at Sturgis Bike Week and compared next to a young man from New York that was having one built by you at that time. We talked, got your name and number. When his was completed he called us to come and see it. We could see that your workmanship had very good quality. My husband being in the mechanical business and the trucking industry for years knew what to look for and was pleased with what he saw. I’m glad we found you to do ours.

With all the hard work and effort from you and your team, we were able to produce the coach that was what we were looking for and fit our needs. My husband got to pick his truck, a 2008 Peterbilt, I got my interior designed the way I wanted, and we can haul our two bikes. It was a pleasure to work with you and your employees. We value this friendship, business and personal, that we have developed during this time, hope to remain friends with you and your family for a long time.”

  • “I wanted to thank you for our new motorhome. I know its been a while since we received it, but we just got back from a offshore powerboat race in Ocean City, Maryland, and as always, we got a lot of comments about our hauler. I wanted to take this time to thank you and your crew in Ontario, NY for building the best haulers out there.

Back in 2005 I was looking to buy an RV to tow our box trailer to the races. We raced 16″ jersey speed skiffs and put 2 of them in a 32′ box trailer and tow it with a Ford F-350 daully. Running from Ft. Myers, Florida to New Jersey got old really quick, sleeping in the back on a pile of blankets. That’s when we started looking at the production haulers that were available. A good friend of mine that races dirt late model told me about a truck and trailer that he saw at one of the dirt track races. That was Hubbards’ Custom motorhome and stacker trailer built by Cobra.

We got in touch with Chuck Hebing from Cobra and brought him a ’98 Kenworth W900 Chassis to put a 28′ box on. It took a couple of months for Chuck to complete the project and we couldn’t be happier that we took the time to build a custom hauler rather than rush into a production one sitting on a lot somewhere. I wasn’t really educated on the construction of RV’s or haulers but after spending some time looking at what Cobra has to offer and some of the others, it was an easy choice. Being in construction and around high-end race boats, it was easy to see the quality of Chuck’s work. From the aluminum box frame, exterior screwless heavy gauge aluminum skin to inside with the all wood cherry cabinetry and full size showed. The interior trim work and upholstery looked even better than expected.

Heading home after paint, we stopped to see our friend, the same one that told us about Chuck, who was racing four-wheelers at a GNCC event in Georgia. About 600 racers where on that Saturday for the quad race, which equaled about 100 haulers and a bunch of RVs. We parked along side some friends who also have haulers -Optima, Show hauler, Renegade to name a few. This is where the quality really showed. All aluminum belly boxes in the Cobra compared to seel with open mesh floors. Taped aluminum skins rather than blind screwed like the Cobra (Cuck uses .80 sheet). In the Cobra we’ve got cherry cabinets built with plywood boxes not particle board, and after 2 years on the road, nothing has come loose. Chuck’s way of using screws and gluing everything keeps everything nice and tight. Even after about 75,000 miles we’ve had zero problems. The list goes on.”
